We want every child to have a relationship with the land, and we recognize that access has never been equal.
Reduced Rate — 5 slots held in recognition of those affected by the histories of land dispossession and unequal access to outdoor space that shape whose kids get to grow up in nature. If this describes your family, we welcome you here at whatever rate you're able to pay.
Standard Rate — Our standard rate, for families joining at full cost.
Solidarity Rate — A rate for allies/families who can give a bit more.
Please note: all children ages 5 months+ must enroll in Nests. Sibling discounts apply automatically at checkout.
- Description
Garden soil on small hands from the Edgerton Park Community Garden, chicken feathers near the barn, cool splashes in the fountain
Nests Little & Grown-Up Community Circle is a child-led, nature-based, mixed-age outdoor program where caregivers practice listening to and attuning to their children and the land.
Tuesday Nests is held in Edgerton Park in New Haven's East Rock neighborhood.A day in Tuesday Nests may look like planting and tending in the community garden bed, visiting the chickens, wandering the greenhouses to see cacti and tropical plants, splashing and cooling off at the fountain, gathering herbs and edible flowers for tea, rolling down the big hill, or collaborating with nature on turmeric sun prints at the picnic table.
