Nests - Community Circle - Autumn 2026

We want every child to have a relationship with the land, and we recognize that access has never been equal.

Reduced Rate — 5 slots held in recognition of those affected by the histories of land dispossession and unequal access to outdoor space that shape whose kids get to grow up in nature. If this describes your family, we welcome you here at whatever rate you're able to pay.*

Standard Rate — Our standard rate, for families joining at full cost.

Solidarity Rate — A rate for allies/families who can give a bit more.

*At Brave Nature Collab, we are committed to Equity, Accessibility and Belonging. The natural world models for us that everyone belongs, we all have unique and vital roles to play, and our collective flourishing is always mutual. BNC's programs have been intentionally designed for all children of Greater New Haven and their communities.

If your child and family would thrive here but you are facing barriers to access our programs, we want to hear from you. We do not and will not turn families away for lack of funds. Please reach out to hello@bravenaturecollaborative.com.

Muddy boots from the marsh edge at Edgewood Park's duck pond, duck feathers tucked in a pocket, twig rafts racing under the wooden bridge.

Nests Little & Grown-Up Community Circle is a child-led, nature-based, mixed-age outdoor program where caregivers practice listening to and attuning to their children and the land.

Sunday Nests is held in Edgewood Park in New Haven's Westville neighborhood.

A day in Sunday Nests may look like feeding the ducks at the pond, balancing across a fallen log, wading at the river's edge, digging for worms and roly-polies, gathering acorns and seed pods for a process art project, building a stick fort in the grove, racing leaf boats off the wooden bridge, rolling down the big hill, or settling into quiet handwork by the water.
